Waterford church adds to food pantry with garden goodness

Twice a month dozens of people, from the working poor and single moms to seniors struggling on Social Security and men and women who've been laid off, gather at Community Baptist Church for homegrown food and down-home hospitality.

A BBQ dinner fundraiser for Hilliard resident Amy Hodges will be sold Saturday at the corner of U.S. 1 and C.R. 108 in Hilliard, from 10:30 a.m. until. Cost is $5 and includes meat, sides, dessert and drink. All proceeds offset Hodges' cancer treatment expenses.
